Maritime Experience Papenburg – innovative City Marketing
On the “Fourm alte Werft” in Papenburg, 7places creates a unique touristic attraction for the historic trading- and dockyard site in Emsland. This represents the history of the site from its foundation to the start of cruise ship construction in a combination of state-of-the-art technology and narrative implementation with loving details and impressive scenography.
In the multi-storey historic brick building, 7places is creating a learning journey for visitors on a total area of approx. 1,000m² that merges Papenburg’s identity with the process of creating wooden and steel ships and also conveys complex content in an experience-oriented way. State-of-the-art exhibition design and high-tech elements such as virtual and augmented reality, immersive spaces, gamification and a Papenburg app go hand in hand to create an eventful attraction not only at the Forum alte Werft, but in the cross-linking of the entire city, which will attract a large number of visitors to Papenburg from the end of 2021.
